The next item is a Commission statement on the consequences of the devastating forest fires in the Amazon and the importance of the Amazon for climate change (2024/2860(RSP)).

The next item on the agenda was a one-minute speech on issues of political importance. I would like to point out that you can make the remarks from your seat in one minute. You can take the floor from the square, and please also abide by the rule that one-minute interventions may only take place on topics that are not on the agenda of this part-session.

The next item is the short presentation of the report by Georgios Aftias, on behalf of the Committee on Budgets, on the mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund to provide assistance to Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France in relation to six natural disasters in 2023 (COM(2024)0325 – C10-0088/2024 – 2024/0212(BUD)) (A10-0002/2024).

The next vote is on the devastating floods in Central and Eastern Europe, the loss of lives and the EU’s preparedness to act on such disasters exacerbated by climate change (See minutes, item 7.7).

The first vote is on the deteriorating situation of women in Afghanistan due to the recent adoption of the law on the 'Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice' (See minutes, item 7.1).
