The European Education Area: a shared holistic approach (debate)
Date: N/A | Language: ELThe European Education Area is an essential need for the future of Europe, as the opportunities of "European added value" offered by education and training are innumerable. One of the most successful examples is Erasmus+, which has helped thousands of people gain new experiences, new knowledge and skills and broaden their horizons. Education must be our main weapon in dealing with exceptional crises and phenomena such as populism and racism. We need to invest in education and strengthen European identity through familiarity with the EU, its institutions and policies. The importance of learning foreign languages, and English in particular, in the modern digital age is undeniable, while the objective of having sufficient knowledge of at least two EU languages at the end of lower secondary education can become a reality. Ensuring a common approach towards groups such as people with disabilities or people with learning disabilities is also very important because no one can and should be left behind. Opportunities for the development of all different talents must be supported by all of us in practice.
